Mandarin Princess delivered a hugely disappointing  performance  when finishing a distant 19L 5th of 8 runners in a Cl6 0-55 mile handicap at Yarmouth on Tuesday.

Despite showing little in her previous performances she was strongly punted, presumably on the back of booking Champion Jockey Silvestre De Silva. Their optimism was sadly unfounded as she was found wanting when making an effort 3 out to fall away inside the final furlong with the winner Rosedale Topping having enough to win by 2 1/4L from Paddy Patch despite her rider dropping his reins a furlong from home. Jazzy Girl snatched 3rd on the line beating favourite Gainsay by a head. Having been tried across a number of distances and conditions it is difficult to see where improvements can be made next time.
